As part of the 2011-12 collective bargaining agreements with ASTA, APGA, CSEA and AFSCME, and the Board Resolution for all management employees, the Board of Trustees, superintendent, and assistant superintendents, May 29, 2012 will be a district-wide furlough day. The district will be closed and there will be no school on this day.

The one furlough day was implemented due to a mid-year reduction in state revenue for the current year and based on a formula that was part of the agreements. The Board of Trustees took formal action on March 13, 2012 to amend our employee work calendar and Student/Teacher calendar for 2011-12 with the furlough day. Communication to our students, parents and community will be going out within the next week.
