To view all of the different information available in this section, select from one of the three topics listed under STUDENT SOCIAL AND EMOTIONAL HEALTH in the menu to the left (Health Topics, School Resources, and Community Resources).

This section of the school website has been created for both parents and students seeking information related to social and emotional health issues that can affect students' academic performance and interpersonal functioning.  Included in this section are a list of social and emotional health topics pertinent to student success in school and personal wellbeing, detailed information about specific emotional and mental health issues that students may encounter, the school resources provided to students and families at Sycamore, and a variety of resources available within the local community that caters to the multiple and diverse needs of the individuals and families at Sycamore.

The faculty and administration at Sycamore understand that a student's social and emotional health directly affects academic performance, quality of life, and overall student success.  For this reason, there are professional counselors and social work interns available at the school to assist students and their families in coping with any range of academic, social, cultural, economic, personal, or relational hardships or adversity the hinder the student's ability to thrive and excel academically.

We hope that the provision of this critical information through Sycamore's school website, available to the entire school community, will inform and empower students and parents and further promote the wellbeing and success of our youth.
